Title Me

Title me if you please,

I won’t let it bother me.

Title me if you please,

I won’t dread it.

Title me if you please,

I won’t let it get under my skin.

Title me if you please,

Your opinion is like a nose; only you can use it.

Title me if you please,

I am honoured you have some time to factor me in your busy day.

Title me if you please,

Go on – maybe it’ll put you at ease.

Title me if you please,

Your words are yours to give but not mine to accept.

Title me if you please,

I give you permission to be vocal but don’t expect me to listen.

Title me if you please,

Nothing will prevent me from being me.

Title me if you please,

It’s fine with me,

Because the only words that matter,

Is what He says about me.

Monday’s Medi*

Although you are going through the insurmountable,

Do you think you are facing it alone?

Do you think those who are against you are more than those who are for you?

Take comfort!

Many are the afflictions of the righteous

the Lord delivers him out of them all!

I feel trapped,

Trapped in a world of uncertainty,

Trapped in pensive absurdity,

Trapped in a world of my own thoughts,

Draining me like worthless dross.

I feel trapped in my own mind,

Trapped like the sands of time,

Trapped in a mental prison of the unknown,

Trapped in a sphere I do not want to call my own.

I feel trapped,

Trapped in feelings of  bipolarity,

Trapped in torture and agony .

I feel trapped,

Trapped in a situation I do not want,

But somehow these difficulties I need,

To help me grow and mature indeed.

I feel trapped,

Trapped between truth and fact,

Trapped between this and that,

Trapped between time and eternity,

Trapped between illusion  and reality.

I don’t mind being trapped,

That is fact.

But I only want to be trapped in Your arms of love,

Trapped in Your embrace that covers me like a glove,

Trapped by the beauty  of your face,

Trapped in the prison of Your grace.

I don’t mind being trapped oh Lord by You,

Trapped in a journey of divine clues,

Trapped as You hold me together like glue,

Trapped as You take away my blues,

I feel trapped, that’s true,

But Jesus, I don’t mind being trapped by You.

A New Day

Lord I give You all of my me,

Won’t You set my spirit free.

Today is the right day,

For me to lift my hands and say,

Won’t You take it all away,

Let me see a brand new day.

I want to see the sun again.

Won’t You blow away the rain,

‘Cause it reminds me of my pain.

My heart is filled with stains,

The memory of my past seems to remain,

I want to see the sun again.

Can I just see the sun again?

It has been such a long, long time.

I thought I would’ve lost my mind,

But You reached down for me and say,

“I’ll make you see a brand new day,

Now you are doing it My way,

So I will cause you not to stray.

I am the Son you need to see,

Relax and let your past be.

Just leave your suffering to Me.

Let me carry your dead weight,

Your shame, disgrace and all your hate.

Child believe Me when I say,

I will keep your troubles at bay,

‘Cause today is truly your brand new day”.

What If…

What if…

What if today was the last day you had?

Would you spend it in quarrell?

Would you spend it in malice?

Would you spend it in fuss?

Would you spend it in vain lusts?

Would you spend it in hatred?

Relating in reasons that are overstated?

Would you spend it in tears?

Would you spend it in fears?

~~~ or ~~~
Would you spend it in love?
Gentle and harmless like a dove.
Wouldn’t you spend it in peace,
Wrapping mercy around others like a warm fleece?
Wouldn’t you spend it with those that matter?
In solace and serenity like a butterfly’s flutter?
Wouldn’t you try to relish the final few moments of your life,
Understanding that its not about envy, lust, greed and strife?
This all is interesting as a great “what if” thought,
Imagine if we actually lived life on purpose,
Dishing out love, peace and joy in surplus,
Then our “what if” would be a “what is”.
All around us would be endless superfluous,
Of all that’s truly important,
Like love, friends, family and grace,
And the beauty of Jesus on everyone’s face.
A Rhema Word!
I just put up a post and am now ready to retire to bed. Its like 2:30am here in Jamaica but I feel the Lord stirring this word in my spirit. Its for someone…maybe not you but your friend or family member.  So I’m gonna be obedient and post it:
“God is about to work it out for you.  Lift your faith – Stretch yourself to believing your God. He is able. Do not be ruffled and perturbed by the tossed, rough sea. The greater the waves, the taller they will make you when you begin to walk on them”.
Impossible II
So since I am on a roll with God and His ability to do the impossible, let me give you another example. This time I want to show you how obedience can reveal the impossibilities of God.
When I was in College I went to chapel service one day and was sitting behind a young man when I felt in my spirit like the Holy Spirit wanted me to gently rub his back. I thought it was weird that the thought kept floating in my heart. I kinda tried to passively ignore it but after a few minutes I did it anyway.
The young man instantly turned around and half smiled.  Feeling kinda cute I didn’t know what to say.  I didn’t exactly hear God say I should, I just had an impressing urge to do it.  So I looked at him and said “hey, how you doing?”  He replied “not bad” and turned back around. I felt so weird. [Heeeshhhh]  Nonetheless, the service went on and I forgot about it.  When the service was through I was on my way out heading to the lunchroom  when I saw someone chasing me on the corridor.  “Amo, Amo, Amorelle…..” He yelled . “yes” I replied.  “Did you know you have healing in your hands?”  “huh?” I answered questioningly.  He continued… “I was in horrible pain when I came to school today.  While in chapel, when you put your hand on my back I was so surprised.  I didn’t know what to say. When you asked how I was, I replied ‘not bad’.  However, in my head I was saying, ‘don’t touch it too hard because I am in pain’ but I chose not to say anything.  To my amazement by the time you were finished and I was standing for prayer I couldn’t believe it – all my pain was gone”.  Eyes wide open, brows densely knitted and jaw fully dropped… “What?” I said surprised and dumbfounded at the same time.  He reiterated “My pain is gone. All gone. Nada…nothing. Thanks much. Thanks”  and with that he walked off smiling while I stood frozen to the spot.
“What!! well how about that?” I thought to myself after I eventually walked off.  Did God do an impossible act right there in the midst of my simple obedience?  That’s crazy!  Well crazy awesome.  That guy went home pain free and I went to my dorm “fantamazed” (Fantastic + amazed).   What a God!
If He did it before my friend, surely He can surely do it again.
Keep believing, keep your faith up.
Your God is able
Much love.
When I meditated on the word Guidance
I kept seeing “dance” at the end of the word.
I believe doing God’s will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn’t flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It’s as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word
 Guidance .
When I saw “G”: I thought of God, followed by “u” and “i”.
“God, “u” and “i” dance.”
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get
  guidance about my life..
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that you will become God’s best dance partner. May y
ou abide in God, as He abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting Him to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life…
