My One Blessing, but still counting…

So many have multiple wardrobes in multiple houses.

While so many sisters have to rotate their one skirt and few blouses,

So many have multiple savings accounts and investment schemes.

while so many have only seen the inside of a bank in their dreams,

So many collect millions falsely and on it they thrive,

While so many can’t even access a small loan to help them survive.

When I review it all and when all is said and done,

There are some like me whose blessing may never be more than one.

I only have one mother who has given birth to me,

I only have one breath which I use each day for free.

I only have one salvation that Jesus bought with His blood,

And I only have one life which is hid with Christ in God.

I only have one job but I still appreciate,

That it takes care of my bills and puts food in my plate.

I only have one wife though others boast about their few,

But I don’t mind only having one woman telling me “I love you”.

I have only one mouth with which His praises I can boast,

Bcuz the one body He gave me is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

I only have one soul which I purpose won’t go to hell,

So the one message I have is the gospel news to tell.

I only have one mind and I thank God it’s not two,

Bcuz some of the thoughts that come in I wouldn’t know what to do.

I only have access to one name that I can call to when in trouble,

It’s the only name given by God to rescue us from sin’s rubble.

I only have one calling which I must fulfill by God’s grace,

So that at the end of my journey I can go heaven and see God’s face.

So I don’t envy others who have many of one thing,

Bcuz sometimes one thing too many is what keeps you in Satan’s ring.

So I don’t run after abundance as it is likely to make me fall,

I rejoice in my one blessing, bcuz I have the One who owns all.
